How to get players to stay on your minecraft bukkit server?

I had a server and people Diddnt like the spawn so they would just quit 2 minutes after thy joined.

Could you guys give me some tips or send me a download link for a premade server?

Ello Bob. Many tips from Minecraftians all around the world, including me.

1. Make a nice/big structure that would look eye-appealing to the others.
2. Make the spawn floor nice, decorative, and bright. Glowstone under Glass, or just a Redstone Furnace in a nice pattern made from expensive blocks would help.
3. Make Pillars. They are always nice.
4. Add signs with all of your information down. It should help.
5. Put scenery (Gardens, trees, flowerpots, nice/small houses).
6. Make a paved walkway, maybe with some Quartz Slabs, Staircases, or Quartz blocks.
7. Make big and professional buildings in the distance.
8. If you're nice enough, program some starting kits for the players when they spawn, so they feel a bit better. This is entirely optional. You can just watch them die in lava or something if you want.
9. Plots. Plots. Plots. Empty Plots are always great (Big, gigantic square size lands for sale, if you didn't know).
10. Add some Passive Mobs. They should also help with the scenery.
