My friends and i have been trying to set one up for weeks, but can't figure it out. Could somebody create one and send me the ip.
Make me a minecraft server?
1, A proffesional server costs MONEY. That means they have to pay for you to play.
2. If you port forward, you can make one from the minecraft.net site. Free. (But for small servers)
3. If you don't know your router pass or account, use hamachi.
Hamachi:
1. Download unmanaged (Important) from (All who are playing on the server) https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/download.aspx
2. All players turn hamachi on, owner, make a new network, send the pass to the players.
3. Go to Minecraft.net and get the server download.
4. Run it once, close the server. Then go to the properties.txt and change the ip to the one on hamachi, belonging to you.
5. Edit properties to your liking, if you own real accounts set the server to online, if not, set to offline.
6. Tell your friends to go to your ip on hamachi. Bam, you now have a functioning server.
It's really simple to start up a server. There are countless tutorials to do it using Hamachi.
If you are after a server that is running 24/7, you're going to need to dip into your wallet a little bit. Xdawnedx.com/mchost have a 75% off offer during the christmas time though, so if that's what you want, they're the cheapest and most reliable.
