Can Minecraft servers still ban you if you use WeepCraft Recording?

Yes, I use WeepCraft, but long story short; the servers I love usually don't have AntiCheat, so I take it upon myself to beat the sh*t out of (other) hackers until they leave, and then stop using it to go back to normal.
But there's one hacker I know that pretends not to hack, and run to a mod whenever I try to punish him/her for a sprint hack (the person turns it off to make it look like they're fine, and so I can't do anything when the mod is right next to them or watching) and its getting really annoying. If I use "Recording" can the server mods/ops ban me, or do they need my actual username? Does "Recording" show EVERYONE else the fake name, or is it just you? Can the Ops see through it? Or see your IP?

Also, does WeepCraft (6.8v for 1.7.2/4) auto-put a cape on you that has "WC" on it?

Just don't use the hack when you record… That simple

The Recording command hides your username and all of your friends' usernames so that the griefer's alt list is protected. All other players on the server can see your username.

In order to get a cape for WeepCraft, you have to either purchase it with real money or accumulate enough points on the forum for client VIP.

Finally, I would talk to the owner of the server about what's going on. Does he know that you're using a hacked client? If he doesn't, be honest with him and tell him the full story of what happens and how you use the hacks. If you're a long-time player and he trusts you, you should be fine.

Personally, I believe that hacked clients are powerful server administration tools. I allow my staff to use any client of their choice for administrative purposes only. (eg: using freecam to monitor a player without showing up on tracers, quick block ID lookup, command macros, etc.) To my knowledge, they follow the rules very well.
