Running skype and minecraft without lag?

I need a computer that efficently does both as id like to be able to talk to friends why skyping. I'm not completely educated on all the specifics of a computer i sort of understand it but i'm not comfortable with making decisions. Does any one know of a computer i could get either pc or laptop? Or does anyone have a custom build theyd like to share? I need help
