Quick intriguing story driven game recommendations for PC?

Now I'll say this, I'm not really a gamer and don't play much games now a days. I was more of a social gamer. But these days, common things like Boyfriend or COD or a lot of games just don't hold my attention. To give you a general sense of games I enjoy I've experienced and/or watched walkthroughs of include GOW series, Bioshock infinite (don't enjoy the dark tone of the other bioshock games), Borderlands (though I got bored of those and never finished either 1 or 2), and quite a few comic book games.

I lean more towards games where I go to an area, clear the enemy and/or the objective, and move on. I'm not really one for going back and forth between worlds or levels (with KH series being the exception). That really sums up my preferences for games, something action/adventure oriented. You get in, do what you need to, solve a little puzzle here or there, and get going.

Now with what I described, Tomb Raider may be a recommendation, but I found it boring. I watched both some walkthrough videos, and a friend playing through the game, just not into Tomb Raider (or Uncharted…)

I ask because I have this good gaming pc, but only game I have on it is Minecraft, which after months, you get bored of that eventually. To give you some idea, I'm using a 3770k CPU, and a 770 GPU.

I get that game recommendation is something done better if you personally know the person, but this is the best I can do to give you a glimpse to my preferences.

Nintendo's Pokemon?
Maybe you simple aren't into video games.
Perhaps you should stop watching Walkthroughs.

I think you could well enjoy Spec Ops: The Line. On its surface this game appears to be a generic military third person shooter but it is so much more than that. It has one of the best story lines I have ever played which has you thinking about the outcome after you have finisehed the game. Its gameplay is pretty generic but it seamlessly mixes in humor despite its often dark messages. It is set in abandoned Dubai so it has beautiful desert scenery and middle eastern themes. It doesn't really have puzzle solving but other than that it fits most of your criteria. Its a game that unless you have played it you won't fully understand its charm.
