When Does Minecraft release for PS4?

To my knowledge they don't currently have any plans to do so. Just get it on the computer. The computer version is the best one.

I would expect it after Christmas, if we're lucky we might see it before then. They have teased pictures of the ps3 version with the Christmas holiday skin pack, so they ps3 version should be out b4 Christmas. After that they will release the ps4 and xbone versions along with the tu14 update. 4J Studio also stated that they are almost done knocking out all the bug on the ps3 version.
