Right now I use a ps3 for gaming and for the next generation of gaming I'm thinking about switching to pc. The problem is that I mostly play singleplayer games like red dead redemtion, AC, uncharted, infamous, gta,… A lot of these games are not available on pc. I also heard that some of these games have bad pc ports.
I don't really play FPS's or (MMO)RPG's or minecraft or MOBA games. I could get into strategy games like total war.
Another problem is that if I switch to pc gaming I'll probably be using a contoller most of the time. Do I have to configurate the controls myself everytime or will the controls be pre-set the same as they are on ps4 or xbone?
My last problem is that I don't know if I should build a pc or buy a gaming laptop because in a year or two I will probably need a laptop for school anyway.
Should I build a gaming pc?

Check which games you want to play first then see if they're on steam. I think you have to configure the controls for yourself but I'm sure that some games have pre set controls for your controller.I'd say go for a laptop because you need it for school and to play games but you sacrifice portability for power. You can get a lot more better specs if you build a pc but that's the trek but no pain no gain right? Get desktop for power and performance and get a laptop for portability. It's up to you!
