I play minecraft on my ps3 a lot. I was wondering if there was any way i could get them faster, without using creative mode. I usually mine at y12 as they layer on the map, I've been told y12 through y16 are good places to find them and i do find them but not very much. Any tips, tricks, ect. On how to find them faster? Or anything else like iron, gold, ect? I know every world is different so there may not be an answer to this, but, worth a shot.
Is there a way besides creative mode on minecraft to find diamonds fast?

Yea if you want to cheat though.
Put 2 sticky pistons stacked on each other under ground.
Then put tnt on the sticky part.
Give the pistons a signal and stand where the tnt will move.
It will show caves and lava but not individual ores.

LAVA is your friend. If you find a pool of lava, dig around it. Not sure how many you will find but you will find some.
