I want to get a PlayStation Vita but am having complications?

Title speaks for itself. I basically want to know what size memory card I should get.
I found a really good deal on a system, $60 without charger, but not sure how much memory I need. I feel like I should mostly get disc's because I would feel better if I were to break the system itself all of the downloads might not be retrievable, etc,. The only game I'll download digitally would be Minecraft of course sense i have a code for it when i bought it for my PS3.

Any thoughts?

Memory - you can never have too much. You may think you won't use it all but believe me, you will…

If you get PS+ you get 2 free games for your PS3 -AND- your Vita. In fact you can also "buy" the free games for the PS4 as well, so when you eventually buy one of them, *boom* instant library. PS+ is $50/year - which you'll easily earn back after just a few months of free games. The only downside is… You're going to need a large memory card to store those games:-D

You'll want at least 16GB, probably 32 GB unless you want to order of of the Japan only 64GB cards, as for the deal, you'll be spending another 20 dollars or more to buy the usb cable and charger but the cables break easily so a charge base is a good thing to own to save the cable you also need the cable and charger )
you think you won't get more digital games that one but you will, you'll find a lot of free games, lots of apps you want and probably want to buy some other games or get psn+ and get the free games, and you should know you can't get games on discs, psvita retail games are on a tiny memory card and even those can need updates - for example to list just a few of the better games, killzone mercenary uses about 3GB for updates, if you bought borderlands 2 the updates and dlc require around 2.6GB and if you got final fantasy x, x2 one game is on the game card but you need to use 3.6GB to download the second game
