How to play with multiplayers in minecraft for playstation 3?

I have minecraft but it doesn't let me play with other players. Do i need something or what? Please help my siblings want to play together but they can't!

First you need an hdtv and hdmi cable, the game only supports two player in HD
if you have those you can invite someone from your friends list to play online or play split screen with one other player
