Sony removed the ability to install Linux on the PS3 years ago.
Even then, the version of Linux supported by the PS3 didn't include any graphics drivers or sound drivers, so it wouldn't really make a good gaming platform. Also since the PS3 isn't a PC, you'd have to recompile Minecraft's source code - something you don't have access to.
