What is the next version in Minecraft Pocket Edition? And?

The current version is 0.8.1 and it has been out for ages and I was just wondering what and/or when the next update is coming out? I have already googled it and checked Minecraft Wiki etc. But I can't find anything. I play Minecraft on my iPod so it's the IOS version that I have.

If someone does know what and/or when the next update is coming out please tell me as I'm so bored with 0.8.1.

This is probably going to stay unanswered but does anyone know WHAT will be in the next update? I'm hoping that Mojang will give players in Creative worlds access to the Nether as they have been promising that since Summer 2013.

Added (1). Hi Pete I looked on the link and nothing came up. It just said something about how Mojang had confirmed that the content on that page will be in the next update so they are hiding the information until the next update comes out.

The only given information is "first quarter of 2014". Since we're half-way through February, I'd say in 3-4 weeks time (mid-end march).
The next version is 0.9.0and some features are options to generate Caves and options to select the world's size, new mobs, etc.

They just did an update I thought, you can get carrots, potatoes, beets and railroads and stuff like that and you can blow TNT In creative now too
