PC feels like its not at full potential? GTX 760 FX 8350?

On Minecraft I was doing a benchmark and my average fps while recording all settings max (besides mipmap) and I was getting about 47 fps average. This feels like its too low for a GTX 760 and an FX 8350 (no overclock). If this is what fps I should be getting please let me know and thats a huge relief off my chest.

Seems acceptable but I recommend locking your fps at around 30fps as most recording software will record at that by default and most youtube videos are at 30fps so why waste resources on fps when they may be needed elsewhere.

Check if Adaptive V-Sync is enabled on the Nvidia Control Panel. Minecraft isn't known for high demand FPS action like Battlefield and COD games, but if Adaptive V-Sync is enabled it can cause it to "cap" on fps. The purpose of v-sync is to control your graphics card to not over-run your display which can cause tearing of images. Disable v-sync in minecraft options, as well as on the Nvidia control settings.

Having 700fps isn't all cake either. Just a number you can brag about, but really your card only needs to display the fps of what your display can show. Check cables to your monitor as well, make sure your compatible to display 120fps if your monitor is 120Hz. I had that problem using a VGA. You will want to used the Dual Link DVI

Recording while playing a game drops my general fps rate a lot. I write on a 2TB hard drive, while it loads the game from that same drive. Skyrim is steady with loads of mods and ultra settings at 60+ fps. But shen I record it can drop to as low as 30, and load screens take a lot longer. Now I record and write the file directly to a USB 3.0 drive of 512GB, and all the slowing down was gone.
