I'm upgrading from Dual Core to Six Cores How much FPS / processing speed increase?

I'm upgrading from a; AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 270 Processor 3.4GHz
To a; AMD BullDozer Six Core FX-6300 3.50GHz 8MB Cache Socket AM3+

Obviously i have next to no knowledge of what on earth i'm saying, so can somebody please explain in simple terms how this will benefit my FPS on game's such as; Minecraft, Battlefield 3, Dead space.

Minecraft
As of at the moment on max settings i can hit roughly 70 FPS fluxing with decreased particles, V-Sync off, 12 chunk render distance, no fraps open, full screen.

Battlefield 3
In lowest detail's resizeable i still only gain around 15 - 20 FPS

Dead Space
Not really sure but 40 FPS on medium setting's.

Cinema4D
Takes around 30 minute's to render a sophisticated image, shadow's, with Ambient occlusion / depth of field / physical sky / global illumination on.

Computer Start up
Take's around 1 minute roughly to get to login / boot up. Loading Gyazo, nvidia settings, comodo antivirus & razer synapse 2.0

Hopefully this is enough data for somebody to tell me how so will these item's increase in time taken / speed / FPS. All comment's contributed are greatly appreciated! Also if you / know of a video, friend etc who was recently gone through the conversion of dual core to quad core or six core + and know how it impacted there gaming experience etc, that would be great to hear!

I need a laptop that can play minecraft and some other games very smoothly. It preferably has to have 6 gigs ram it can have 4 but no lower and also it can't be an AMD it is either I3 and up or something like that. Also please try to keep it under 600 $

How to play apb reloaded without downloading?

My computer is fast and stuff but whenever I download things online, is really slow and restarts when its on 90% because of my Internet.

How to get my minecraft to connect to the internet?

My minecraft and anything related to it won't connect to the internet. They used to, because i got the horse update in snapshots and when I opened snapshots it would say "play" and it would automatically update. But now it says "play offline" and I don't get the updates. Also, in technic and plain minecraft it says "can't connect to minecraft.net " in minecraft I can click "play offline" but I can only close technic. I can't connect LAN worlds ether.

How to download hungercraft on pc?

Okay so i'm a complete noob. I never played minecraft before, i'm a girl btw too. I watch one of my fav youtubers on youtube play hungercraft and it honestly looks so fun and i been wanting to play for such a long time now but i have NO clue how to. Do i just download it? Will it give me a virus? Is it free?
