My minecraft will not open?

I haven't played minecraft since mid august and when I go and try to play it it does not work, I have updated java, restarted my computer, downloaded new and old versions of minefraft and I just have no idea what do do anymore. Any help?

I wish I could help, but you don't give enough information. Does the patcher open? How about the game? Does it crash when you do something? Is there an error message displayed? Consider these things and give us some more info.
