The little fire glow over the torches is no longer there maybe it's the mods? I have about 13, and every time I throw potion it goes straight trough the ground and again no swirl effect, just to let you know i believe my minecraft is a cracked version if it helps you answer my question little help please?

Cracked Minecraft is very unorthodox and glitchy. Not to mention its frowned upon in the Minecraft community. Minecraft isn't even $30, it's not gonna break the bank account, just buy it. And yes, the amount of mods you're using probably has something to do with it.
