Why is there no fire effect on the torches in minecraft? - 1

I still can't figure out why there's no fire effect, it's bugging the heck out of me! I removed all unnecessary mods from minecraft I forced update and still nothing.

Check in your options in minecraft, somewhere there's the fire animation, change it and see if it works

Might be your texture pack or your settings. If you set the particles to minimum in the video settings section it will remove 90% of all particle effects except for mining, eating, landing on blocks, and few others.
