Ok, so i was trying to install the mod mo creatures on my windows, I downgraded the game to 1.7.2 by going to the 'edit profile' option in the launcher and selecting it. And I downloaded all the files i needed to in order to install mo creatures. But when I went to my.minecraft files to put the custom mob spawner and Dr.Zharks mo creature files into the mods files, well I don't have one. I don't know why but I just don't have the file that's titled 'mods'. I downloaded forge before hand but I don't know if that really has anything to do with it. And it is my first time installing mods. So can someone tell me why I don't have a mods file and how i can get it or find it.

That is fine as long as you have forge it should work. Just create a new folder in the.minecraft directory and name it "mods" and you are all set.
May I suggest downloading FTB(Feed the Beast) if this is your first time messing with mods? It is easy to install mods with the launcher and it has a bunch of extremely popular pre-made mod packs for you to use if you don't feel like messing with installing your own mods.
