I plan to make a little money using adfly and a donation button on a minecraft mod of mine. I linked a credit card but not a bank account so I'm still unverified. For what I plan to use my account for, is this a limitation I should worry about or not? And also will I still be able to make online purchases on sites like steam, amazon, gamestop, etc?

You can make purchases, but not receive funds.
They verify your account by depositing a small amount of money in it. Then you tell them how much you receive. You can't do this on credit cards.
A verified bank account is necessary when selling.
