I've seen many let's play vids on Youtube with the Fossils and Archaeology mod. They all have the Not Enough Items mod installed with it. How do I do this? I have scoured the internet trying to find out how but only com up with tutorials on to install just one of the mods, not both of them together. I have tried installing them myself but to no avail. Once it showed that NEI was active but when I opened my inventory, nothing was there. I must be doing something wrong.

Back up your worlds!
Follow the tutorial on the page here to install Forge (this is required by the other mods to work)

Then run your game once for Forge to configure it. Close out on minecraft when you reach the main menu.
Be sure to run the profile you created for Forge
Next, install three mods: Not Enough Items, Fossels and Archaeology, and Chicken Bones Core (by the same author as Not Enough Items. You need it for Not Enough Items to work). Just drop these in the mods folder in.minecraft. Now run the game and everything should work.
