So I was in the middle of adding mods to my mods folder for 1.7.10 Forge until I opened the game and it did not say 'Forge 1.7.10…' on the lower left of the main menu. I exit out and I found that forge was clicked on for my profile but on the lower right is just said, 'Play 1.8.8' instead of 'Play Forge 1.7.10'. I don't have a screenshot because I uninstalled Minecraft thinking that I couldn't fix it.
Is this a bug? If so then how do I fix it?
I'm running Java 8 by the way even if Minecraft doesn't need Java anymore.
