McAfee blocks my ftb mod launcher and asks for a local TCP port, what is that?

I recently got a new computer with windows 8 on it that came with McAfee Internet Security. McAfee stops my Feed the Beast Minecraft mod launcher from loading and exits the screen. It requires me to enter a local TCP/IP ports, I have no idea what those are or where to find them, can someone help me please?

A local TCP/IP port refers to Mcafees Firewall this is a port that allows inbound (things coming into the computer ) and Outbound (things going out of computer ) to call out to the internet so to speak. Its asking you to adjust the port that Minecraft uses to access playing live online most likely if the game can't connect to the portal or game server it will block you you have to allow the port to connect there are two ways you can do this 1. Check with the people who make the game most likely on the site and find out what port is allowed or you can use this guide here http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100887 most of the games i have seen Allow the port 25565 TCP & UDP through the firewall Hope that helps you and wasn't mind boggling
