My.minecraft didn't come with a mods folder and i tried making a mods folder but it didn't work and i can't figure out how to install modloader.

Go to your.minecraft folder open the bin folder then right click the minecraft.jar go to open with and open with winrar archiver once the window pops up delete the meta inf folder.
then download modloader open it with winrar and drag all the files into the minecraft.jar. Close the minecraft.jar window
next time you run minecraft it will make your mods folder
