I've downloaded mods to my computer already but i can't figure out how to add them to minecraft. I've looked this up on google and i've tried everything it told me but it won't add the mods to my game. I have the 1.7.5 version of the game and i've only been playing minecraft for about a month so i'm fairly new to this thing. Also i don't know if this is important or not but i have an acer laptop i'm playing on.

Okay. Listen very closely to what i have to say. Modding minecraft is a very long process.
First, you'll need 7-zip.
http://www.7-zip.org/
Now go to start menu
type %appdata%
now click on the stuff i say
Roaming.minecraft
bin
now open the.jar file titled minecraft with 7-zip
open your mod folder
open the minecraft folder next to the mod folder
highlight everything in the mod folder
drag it to minecraft
delete meta-inf
close everything
force update minecraft
play

An alternative to adding them manually is to use a launcher with preloaded modpacks like FTB or Tekkit to get the mods with little to no work on your part if you want to do single player a good thing to try is the tekkit website has player made modpacks that you can download by simply copy pasting one url into the launcher…
