There's a bunch of videos out and give proper instructions but I'm running Mavericks 10.9.1 and the finder no longer has the "Places" section to go to the folder, and every time I use the search box, it comes out blank.

I'm not sure if this would help but… This is how i do it…
1. On finder, click on "go" then go to library.
2. Go to application support and open minecraft folder.
3.go to versions and from there i suppose you would know how to do it…
