I'm new to minecraft, i'm trying to download mods, i have the forge for the newest update, i deleted the meta-inf file from my archive manager and the pixelmon v2.0 folder is in my mods folder in my .minecraft folder, the mod won't show up in my mods list, what am i doing wrong? I'm on ubuntu

Do you have forge selected on our Minecraft Launcher? If no, go to launch options, add new, versions, scroll down to the bottom and select it. Also, make sure the mods are on the version your forge is on or just try your best to the most accurate version.
