I want to run a 1.6.2 mod on 1.6.4 Minecraft and I want to know if I can change the version it will run on. Can I possible do this in the config?
Added (1). I'm want to do this for Jammy Furniture so I can add it to my YouTube Modded survival series which I'm playing in 1.6.4
Uh, no? May I ask what mod you are trying to install? If you want to play a 1.6.2 mod, do this:
1.) Open Minecraft launcher
2.)Click edit profile (Bottom left, below profile name. )
3.)Un-check use latest version
4.)Go in to the "Use version" option, and select the version you want.
5.)Click save profile.
6.)Play.
If you want to play a 1.6.2 mod on 1.6.4, the short answer is, you can't. Each version has different coding, so do the mods. Just download the 1.6.4 version of the mod, unless the mod isn't updated yet, in which case, you have to downgrade your version (Steps Above) There's no config, that is only in bukkit plugins. (Server) You can play the mod, just not in a different version than the mod. Hope this helps!
You will have to wait until Jammy Furniture updates. At the very least a be very buggy if you try to run a mod on another version of minecraft.
