I have texture packs in the resourcepacks folder but when i go in game they don't show up. Redownloading minecraft doesn't fix it either. What do i do to fix this?

I have the same problem with Mods, sadly I haven't found a solution. Did you install Forge? Maybe that would work? Sorry
