Minecraft not working on Mac?

I downloaded Minecraft and the screen comes up, but when I press play an error screen comes up and says "Failed to download file.hit3.ogg" and gives me a link thats not accessible anymore. I have tried redownloading/deleting minecraft but nothing seems to work.
