I had just bought minecraft for my very old Mac laptop it is Mac OS X version 10.5.8 and it won't update anymore than that 2.4 GHz intel Core Duo. I started up minecraft and it played okay for the first few minutes then i tired entering full screen and it went all black. I can hear the music but nothing in the game. I have tried restarting it but it just automatically goes back to the full black screen. What can i do?
Minecraft Black Screen Of Death?

Press F11 (in your case, fn-Alt-F11) to exit full screen. If you absolutely must play in full screen, try re-installing the game or backing up to an older version.
You can back up in the launcher. In the bottom-left corner, click the 'Edit Profile' button. A window appears. You can change the profile name, the directory, default resolution, and a host of other things. 'Version Selection' is what you want. Change 'Use Version:' to an earlier release. I can't guarantee this working, but it's worth a shot.
