Hmm, none of this happens to me. Did you add more ram to the launcher? Its the Pinwheel looking thing in the top right of the launcher, do about 2-4GB (Don't do four if your PC only has 4GB of RAM, do Two). Also make sure you have no other internet pages or things open on your PC like music, other games, ETC. If that doesn't work try contacting the Technic people or look on the forums.
