I have a 64 bit system so I decided to get the 64 bit java so minecarft and ftb would work better but when I go to launch minecraft it only has the option to play offline instead of play and when I try to play a pack on ftb it says the serevers are down and to go to mojang for help but when I revert back to 32 bit everything works fine

If you didn't uninstall 32 bit java before installing the 64 bit one, it may cause errors because you are not supposed to have multiple versions of java installed at once.

Actually, you can have both 32-bit and 64-bit Java versions installed without conflict, and run Minecraft under either I have a teenager who co-installed Java 64 for the same reason as you, and hasn't reported any I'll do some other research, and confer with him tomorrow about your issue.
