I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I will mainly use it for gaming but I have a smallish budget of roughly $800. It needs to be able to smoothly play Skyrim, Counter Strike global offensive, Civ5, TF2, minecraft and other similar games at medium or preferably high settings. I'm not after a des top as it needs to be a little portable. Please can I have some advice?

Do you defiantly need a laptop, as for $800 you will get a far superior desktop computer. If you defiantly need a laptop, try searching for one that has a designated graphics card built in, and i5 processor atleast and 8gb ram. My laptop is like that, runs all these games even LOL on very high

Get the Lenovo Y40 laptop, it's a cheap gaming laptop that is not popular around but I saw it on a shop. The top version was costing between $1300 and Macbook Air 13 was costing $1120 and I want something portable so I'm going with macbook since other ultrabooks arent here yet and Mac get good resale so I can sell it off for later but I really like the Lenovo Gaming Laptop with Core i7, 4gb AMD R9 card, 16 gigs of ram!
it's the best for you, its 2.2kg weight so it's definitely lighter. Keyboard has some flex but better than on Y50
reviews said that it doesn't get hot and touchpad remains cool. 14 inch is portable, got carbon fiber stuff.
