Disable some programs running in the background and free up some space will help. Use Windows Disk Clean Up and Windows Disk Defragment will also do.
Also, you could try installing Razer Game Booster to boost the speed of Minecraft a little.
Opening up Windows Task Manager while Minecraft is running > Processes > javaw.exe > right-click on it > Set Priority to High
