Is minecraft now taking over fortnite?

Added (1). i mean i never was a big fan of fortnite really and preffered minecraft but was just curious if it is in fact taking over or becoming the new trend now over fortnite

I don't see anything "big" from Minecraft these days, besides the upcoming "Diablo-esque" game, which will come out next year.

Meanwhile, Fortnite were dumping new events and updates every week, and has been doing collabs with several big franchises this year, like Avengers End Game or Borderlands 3.
