This sounds really stupid but I want a computer to make minecraft renders and play minecraft on. I don't know what specification I need in a computer to support the renders and what not.
Is minecraft better on a laptop or desktop?

Minecraft doesn't actually take up a ton of ram, and requires only a moderate amount of processing (unless you heavily fill a massive map with objects, and I mean *heavily* fill it) there's no reason to get a desktop just for miNecraft. Just a mid range gaming laptop will work, and be substantially cheaper.

I think that computer is good because i also render and play

A desktop will always be cheaper than a laptop for the same performance. However Minecraft works well on a medium-range gaming laptop as mentioned (just make sure it has more than integrated graphics).
