Is forest the best biome in Minecraft?

I prefer dark oak forest as you can get the most wood there, but plains are the best for building. And no, I'm not six. I'm an average guy that plays Minecraft.

Forest is good for wood, but flower forest is better. It has wood AND flowers! Wow! Personally I like beaches to build houses on, my favourite combination of biomes is a beach next to a river next to a flower forest.

I use forest to gather materials, but I normally build my base into cliff sides overlooking interesting terrain features. My favorite ever base was built into a ravine with multiple crisscrossing glass passages linking the two halves of my base together.
