Yes it will be good enough for those games, meaning that those games still support a resolution like that. However it should be noted that that is not what determines the playability of games on a computer, the CPU GPU and RAM are more important.

That would depend on the person and if they are ok with playing game at that resolution, most game do still support that resolution but I personally find playing at a resolution under 1080p unbearable.
