Internet Connection Problem?

I play games such as Minecraft, LoL, and DOTA 2. When no one else is using the internet at my home, everything runs perfectly fine with no lag, but when other people start using the internet especially my brother who also plays these games the lag sky rockets and my ping goes to about 4k. Any help would be appreciated.

Normal broadband can't take loads of stuff on the internet at one moment of time however if you have fibre optic then it can cope alot easier. If you are already using fibre optic then maybe ring the company up.
Or just turn off stuff that is connected to a Wi-Fi.
