If I restart my WHOLE computer, can I somehow get my minecraft worlds back?

My computer is stupid. Whenever I turn it on, the background is black and I can't press anything. If I try to press the minecraft file on my desktop, nothing happens. I can't open anything. Even the little windows flag in the lower right corner won't work. I have to actually press the off button to turn the computer off. My dad is going to reset the whole thing but I'm afraid my minecraft worlds will be gone forever and I have one world that I DO NOT want to lose because I've worked super hard on it! Any tips?

Click Start Run. If you don't see "Run" try holding down your "Windows" key and press the R key.

Type %appdata% and click OK.

Open the.minecraft folder.

Look for a folder called 'saves'. In that folder you should see all the worlds you created. (For example if you created a world called minecraft123, there should be a folder called minecraft123)

Take a flash drive or other storage and move all the world files from the saves folder to the flash drive.

They will be deleted if by "restart my WHOLE compuiter" clearing the hard drive and installing Windows again.
