I was playing earlier today in Creative and I was trying to make this cool thing, but I was being stupid and died. Now I don't know how to get back to where I was. Is there anyway to do this?

If you host the server and teleported to that area at any time, check your server log files - the coordinates will have been saved.
If you're not the host or didn't teleport, unfortunately your position has been lost. If you did teleport, ask the server owner to retrieve the coordinates for you. Generally it's a good idea to make a note of coordinates (Press F3 to display) just in case such a thing should happen - better to be safe!
The last option would be to scout around and try to remember your bearings; if you can't remember the location at all, it seems you've indeed permanently lost the area where you were building. Sorry!
