So I bought a new monitor the other day (BenQ GL2250) and I've been noticing some flicking in game. The flickering mostly occurs in dark areas or periods of the game. At first I had windows 8 installed and noticed some flickering in Minecraft. I thought it may have been a driver issue as the monitor is more compatible with windows 7, so installed windows 7. The flickering in Minecraft stopped but i then noticed flickering in a game called Warface. I do use a vga cable as that was what came with the monitor; could this be the issue? I also did another test. I recorded some footage of Warface (where flickering occurs) and when i played it back there was no flickering on screen.
