How to save a minecraft map to a flashdrive?

I know how to do it if i have minecraft downloaded. However, at school, me and my friends made some pretty cool stuff over lan, but we didn't have minecraft downloaded, so is there a way to get it onto the flashdrive without having the game downloaded?

You could just copy the map file and paste it into the minecraft client folder that you are using, but minecraft is relatively small might as well just copy the game folder entirely.
