How to play two player mode in Minecraft, i have the HDMI but still it won't work?

I have the HDMI plugged in and once the game starts and the second player presses start they don't appear. Is this a glitch or what?

Is your tv in hdmi? And if that doesn't work then it may be a glitch because mine works just fine

Its not an old tv its a plasma that came out like 2 years old at most, i think it hast to be a glitch cause the tv is in hdmi

If it's an older TV it may not be compatible I had that problem and had to play multiplayer minecraft in my parents room until we got a new tv.

You have to set your xbox to match a HDMI or HD resolution by going under System Settings then under Console Settings then under Display then under HDTV settings. Change the resolution to 1080p to play splitscreen
