How to play Minecraft Alpha?

I have Minecraft beta downloaded to my Mac, how to I get Alpha on my mac?

If you are playing on the new Minecraft launcher, edit your profile. Tick the box that says 'Allow Old Releases'. Then you can select anything before the official version. Beta, Alpha even Testing versions. You can also allow snapshot releases if you wish!

Thumbs up if this was helpful!

You can access alpha minecraft through the new startup screen. If you click edit profile, you can select older versions including alpha and beta versions and even version 1.0.

Go on the Edit Profile option, click allow Alpha Versions. Click the version you want. Then your done.

The new launcher supports downgrading.
Just create a new profile, edit it, check the boxes that say "Allow use of old Minecraft versions", then switch the version to your favorite old Minecraft release.

There's a minecraft launcher called the Team Extreme Launcher. It has all of the versions ever made.

Cool.

Minecraft is split into two separate game modes. Creative and Survival. You can play both of them in multilayer. If you're mostly interested in making huge structures from scratch with unlimited resources, Creative mode is your best bet. You won't see any enemies, and you can pull blocks of all shapes and sizes out of thin air. It's a peaceful world. However, if you'd prefer to adventure into a world of danger, where you're crafting and creating out of necessity, you'll probably want to play in Survival mode. That comes with gangs of monsters who want to break/explode/eat your bones, one pixel at a time. You'll need to protect yourself from the creatures that come out at night.

Minecraft Beta is the updated version of Minecraft Alpha.
in other words, Minecraft Alpha is Obsolete.

Minecraft is set to automatically update(as of now there's no way to change this, to my knowledge anyway)

If you really absolutely want minecraft Alpha, you're gonna need to do some internet searching for a 3rd party (someone else other than Notch) that will allow you to download Minecraft Alpha.

Also, everything that was in Minecraft Alpha is also included in Minecraft Beta…
