Now when I play minecraft I use the peaceful mode. How can I not be scared of skeletons and other hostile mobs to not creep me out?

Build a house, wall, etc to keep them out.
Make torches, light fires.
Play with friends.

Be aware that it is a game and only a spider is real make sure you have everything you need to fight them off
