How to make my FPS higher in minecraft?

I get a bunch'a lag when I play minecraft 1.8.3. Can someone help me remove the lag? The fps also needs to be either 20+ or 200+

Get a better computer. Close other programs. Change options in game. Remove unnecessary mods
