How to kill all rabbits in minecraft?

I have Minecraft 1.8.8 in my MacBook Pro and whenever I was playing minecraft, I spawned so many rabbits and I regret it. How can I kill them all? I tried: /kill all rabbits and /killall rabbits but it doesn't work

/kill @e[type=mob]

Exact spacing. You can put a! In front of the name to exclude it from total destruction
