My friend and I are in different houses with different Wi-Fi connections and we want to make our own survival game with just the 2 of us. Can we do that and how? I opened a survival game to LAN and it said local game hosted on and a bunch of numbers.

Unfortunately, lan worlds can only be seen if you and your friend are on the same Wi-Fi network. To be able to play together from separate Wi-Fi networks, you can either join a server, or make one of your own. (I don't recommend the latter as it's pretty hard)
