How to get minecraft villagers to move into this place I built for them?

I built a cool Hotel for my villagers in minecraft and I want them to live in it but they won't they just try to go back to their villageHow to get minecraft villagers to move into this place I built for them - 1

Try standing behind one in particular and walk straight (this should push them) do this to all of them.

The only way I have ever successfully done this would be to build a wall around the are and then spawn the villagers inside it so they must go in.

Put your town inside a wall with a lot of torches in and out so the mobs don't spawn. You can move them via Mine cart. You have to hold shift then by going behind them you can push them into the cart. Once they're in the cart you can transport them with the help of the railways. But you have to build those first before moving them to the new place you made. There's a tutorial on how to do this kind of things over at youtube.com

Destroy their original houses. This might force them to move into those houses to take shelter from the invading zombies during the night.

They move to nearest eligible "house" at night. Destroy all the doors except those in the hotel, and they'll go.

Unless maybe your hotel is too far from the center of your village (64+ blocks or something). Then they can't reach it. But if one went already, they can probably all go.
